Gary W. Kendall selected "Man of the Year" by the Coalition of Labor Union Women (CLUW) Western Virginia Chapter The
Coalition of Labor Union Women (CLUW) is America’s only national organization
for union women. The Western Virginia Chapter was formed in 1985 in the
Roanoke area. CLUW is an organization within the union movement. We educate
our members, and keep them up-to-date on a variety of issues of concern
that impact our daily lives as working families, i.e. economic issues, fair
trade policies, healthcare, retirement security, public education, and affordable
higher education.
Each year, the Roanoke-based Western Virginia chapter at the Annual Bread & Roses Labor Awards Dinner recognizes honorees who, through their work, is an advocate for working people. Gary Kendall, who has helped and represented workers over the last many years was chosen to receive our 2007 “Man of the Year” Award.
Mr. Kendall has served as a trial lawyer representing consumers and working people for most of his career. He is a member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, The Southern Trial Lawyers Association, and The Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He has served in national leadership roles in all of these organizations and is a member of the National Board of Directors of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
