R. Lee has a 25-year history of success helping people who have been harmed by the negligence of others. This has resulted in a long list of peer review awards including Best Lawyers, US News and World Report Medical Malpractice Lawyer of the Year, and Personal Injury Lawyer of the Year. Lee consistently achieves seven-figure verdicts and settlements by pursuing full justice for deserving people.  For example, in 2015 he won the first verdict by a patient against a doctor in Augusta County, VA, followed in 2016 by what is believed to be the first large verdict in an elective plastic surgery case in Richmond, Virginia. Lee’s record of leadership and teaching responsibilities among lawyers highlights the priority he places on providing exceptional advocacy to his clients. He has chaired the Virginia State Bar litigation section and the mandatory continuing legal education board. He was selected by The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia to work on a committee that writes and edits jury instructions for all Virginia cases. Lee writes and edits books for lawyers about evidence and medical malpractice that are published by LexisNexis.  Lee lives in Charlottesville with his wife, Kris, and two children.
